Oba sem byli přivezeni v transportu Ab, který opustil ghetto Terezín 17. 3. 1942.
Both were transported to Ghetto Izbica from Ghetto Terezín in transport Ab, which left Terezín on 17th March 1942.
Stručná historie ghetta/Brief information about ghetto:
Ghetto Izbica sloužilo jako transitní bod pro transporty do vyhlazovacích táborů Belzec a Sobibor. Ghetto vzniklo v roce 1941, ale již o rok dříve sem byli Židé přiváženi. Od března do května 1942 sem bylo z celé Evropy dopraveno 12 – 15 000 Židů, a to v rámci operace Reinhard. Pouze polovina z nich se vešla do dřevěných budov, ti ostatní byli nuceni žít venku. Mnoho z nich zemřelo na tyfus a špatné hygienické podmínky v ghettu. Toto tranzitní ghetto bylo uzavřeno 2. 11. 1942, druhé menší ghetto bylo uzavřeno 28. 4. 1943 a jeho obyvatelé byli odesláni do vyhlazovacího tábora Sobibor.
Ghetto Izbica was used as transit point for transports to extermination camps Belzec and Sobibor. The ghetto was established in year 1941, but Jews were transfered to this place year ago too. Between 12 – 15 000 Jews were transfered in this camp in action Reinhard From March to May 1942. Only half of this amount could be “accomodated” in buildings. Second half had to be outside. Many of them succumb to typhus and bad sanitary condition. This transit ghetto was cloes on 2nd November 1942, second, smaller ghetto, was closed on 28th April 1943 and its inhabitants were sent to extermination camp Sobibor.

Izbica is located in eastern Poland, near 13 km south from village Krasnystaw and 59 km southeast from Lublin. It is possible reach this city by car and bus.
